I'm Carmelo Briones, a chemistry teacher at the University of the Philippines...I am being called by many names such as Caloy or Carlo (at home), Melo (at school)...but I accept all of these names... :-)
I plan to become a part-time fashion model (if luck permits me...hehe)...with my current height (5'6 and a half) I guess I can only do print modeling and rarely, the runway...but that's definitely ok...I'm really working on it (via stretching exercises, hope it works and be able to stretch my chances, too).......during shoots, I have been exerting some effort to be noticed side-by-side taller models (I have been mastering my poses and angles so as to come up with nice exposures)
I actually love the pressure of being a bit short...I wanted to show everyone that small models also have some place in this career...
I really love photoshoots and I am very willing to do a shoot FOR FREE...yah, FOR FREE...like a TFP...I'm also willing to travel (but not that financially capable at the moment...haha)...
I have been part of a fashion show (once)...it's a campaign showing the different psychological disorders and genre (funny isn't it)...I took the role of an anorexic male and emo...it's really nice though...(my first time to wear an eyeliner...haha)
I hope to find an AGENCY that's willing to hire 5'6 guys like me...also, I want to have MORE EXPOSURE to print modeling...(TFP's are very much welcome)...hopefully this site may help me achieve my goals...I also want to meet as many models, photographers, stylist (and others...) as possible...I'm friendly and very approachable...I love meeting people of various races, I love to mingle with people of different cultures...I am also a language enthusiast (currently, I'm into Japanese, Korean and Chinese languages)...
PS. I used to be a member of modellaunch.com...but then they got a server failure and they were unable to retrieve all their data...but for a good cause, I think MODELMAYHEM is an excellent site as well :-)
