My Name is Melissa Thompson, and I am foremost a fantasy artist. I have had a natural inclination towards fantasy portraiture since I was very young.  Everything I do artistically stems from this foundation. Finding that I could not produce what I was looking to express quickly enough with the mediums I knew, I began experimenting with photography, makeup, and digital paint. I found that I was quick to pick up on makeup and have been working off and on as a makeup artist for about 6 years.


  I have done several types of makeup from glamor to special effects. Although I would love the opportunity to train under someone formally, thus far all my training has been through experience and collaboration with photographers and models. I can do hair styling as well (no dying or cutting) including using synthetic hair. I am able to make synthetic dread locks, but due to the labor involved I need advance notice and I do charge accordingly.

Although I have always been very creative, I am also able to bracket myself and get on board with another artist or group of artists to fulfill a specific vision. I have a professional, fun loving attitude and plenty of ideas or opinions if needed.


I am ALWAYS interested in working with new people! Just let me know what you have in mind and we can go from there, I keep my rates VERY reasonable by using drugstore products, I have come up with lots of little secrets to make the colors as vibrant as possible.

I'VE RELOCATED !!! Currently I do not have a kit put together but I would like to start working as soon as possible. I will be assembling a kit very soon. I am also available to assist another artist if a kit will be on site.

RATES:
$30 per person per look
$50 per person per look for weddings
$100 + for special FX and or full body

I am willing to do trade work as well, but I must be highly selective as I do need to be paid in order to keep my kit replenished.


STYLING:
Give me a good idea of what you are looking for, and a cash budget, and I will produce the perfect outfit for your shoot. I can work on a VERY tight budget and can provide references so that you know I can be trusted. The only payment I ask, is credits and if the model does not want the clothing after the shoot, that it be returned to me.
