just looking for new people to shoot with... i work at the fashion institute of design and merchandising in downtown l.a.... hope to be working with many of you soon... more of my work at the jump above (flickr)...

i work in either analog or digital... black & white... or color...

and i won't stop shooting 'til you're satisfied...

i can draw
i can paint
i see my life in moments
drawing or painting
it happens over time
a series of moments
so when i look at a painting
of mine
i can't see the whole piece
i see instances of it
moments
certain parts of the painting
curves
splotches
cigarette ash
now when i see other peoples paintings
i can see the whole
i'm taking it in all at once
not in parts like they did
when they were creating it

now

when i photograph something
anyone who sees what I shot
sees it the exact same way as i did
the first time
when i look through the viewfinder
i see everything in unison
working together
a still of my life
the way i see the world
shown to the world

but

these images
they are not mine
even though i'm taking the shots
i don't feel they are my own
i don't possess these moments
you do
the viewer
winding through
the staircases
kissing the mountains
and leaves born of fire
sitting back and letting her do all the work
i know its all in the detail and
skill
all of which can be taught and learned
and passion is what drives me

or

i'm really just like a funhouse mirror
showing you the same, everyday
object or person
but from a different point of view
that you have never seen
or will ever see
the same way
again
