About me
Hi, I am Nicolas, a 24 year old French Photographer coming from Paris and currently based in Montréal, Canada.

How do I use Model Mayhem
As I am new in Canada, I am now trying to expand my network and to find new people to work with. I am looking for people who can help me bring my portfolio to a new level.
So please do not send me a message asking for money. If so, you are probably not interested in working with me.

Paying models
It is a misconception that photographers pay models. They do not! The customer hires the photographer, the model and the whole team. Everyone gets paid according to the contract.

Creative/TFP/TFCD
It means we are both interested in working together. Plus, I have no problem on traveling on my own, if you want to work on an interesting concept with me. And I will rent the studio if needed. But I am definitely not interested in average result, specially when I do spend money on traveling and studio renting.

Inexperienced and looking to improve your portfolio
I have very affordable rates, and will give my best. Taking photos and postworking them is very time consuming. So I can not work for free if it will not bring something to my portfolio.

Attitude
Everything begins by the way you write in your message. The way you are writing them is telling a lot about how you care about working together.
Paid or unpaid, no one wants to work with people having a negative attitude, which includes: grumpy, diva...
I am looking for people who are willing to create, and are excited about it. Having fun and a positive attitude is the key.

Professionalism
Shooting on a regular basis is the way to push your creative vision, to create fresh work, and last but not least, to enhance your skills. Being a professional does not mean you are better, it means you get paid. Acting as a professional means you are reliable, and respect your engagements.
When you are part of a crew you have to respect your engagement, if something comes up and you cannot make it, you should always find a replacement for yourself. Regardless the type of the job. Who wants to work with downers? When people are involved you cannot leave them at the last minute.
