I am passionate about making art, modeling and photography. I work extremely hard, take direction well and improvise very well. I spend all day creating my own art (as a theatre practioner: director, actor, designer, lighting tech and stage manager) and love to help others create their own. Theatre has had a massive influence on my modeling so I tend to have a very dramatic, emotive style.
I love concept driven work and enjoy creating characters for shoots. I aim to look different in every shoot.
What you get:
What you get for your money is a model with over 100 shoots to her name with something like 50 different photographers. I pose intelligently and can both take direction and pose myself extremely well. I started out as a photographer so have a very good understanding of what is required to get a shot and what a model must do to make a good image and always aim to make the shoot as easy as possible from the photographer's point of view.
If you have a concept you would like to develop, I would love to hear it.
Compensation:
I am currently studying full time at the Victorian College of the Arts (9am to 6pm five days a week). Because of this, I only have weekends off and my time is very precious to me. Hence, I am only doing paid work or work where I am paid in kind (clothing, jewelry, products). Before you try and get me to do a free shoot, bare in mind that I live off of my art so do not be offended if I decline. That said, STILL CONTACT ME! I run a sort of unofficial agency, connecting photographers with talented models and actors. I have a list of people whom I will always be happy to recommend to you. Because I am studying directing at the VCA, a lot of these people are professional actors: they have such awareness of their bodies, can emote beautifully, know about composition and this all makes for fantastic models. If I can not model for you or if you can not pay me to model for you, I can always find someone who can. Just contact me with what you are looking for and I'll find someone.
Friend Requests:
Please do not send me a friend request without commenting. Just introduce yourself. If you are Australian, I'm pretty forgiving and tend to accept FR regardless, but if you are somewhere on the other side of the world, tell me why you are 'friending' me or else I won't bother. Just say hi.
Workshops:
From time to time, I also run workshops in model direction (for photographers), creative posing (for models) and model for studio lighting workshops ran by Photograjph #461956. Contact either of us if you are interested.
Nudity:
I am currently not doing art nudes. I know I have them in my gallery but they are all a few months old. I may start doing them again at some point so don't be afraid to contact me but be prepared for the no.
I am size 8-10.
170 cms tall, weighing 58 kilos.
I have exceptionally pale skin.
I do a very large variety of looks, everything from 40s glamour to punk.
I am quite a decent MUA but am pretty shocking at doing my own hair (if you want anything other than messy, that is).
Travel:
I am willing to travel if my costs are covered but, be aware that am addicted to my work in theatre so you must book me some time in advance.

'Last weekend I was very fortunate to work with the fabulous Halohid. I can't speak highly enough of this amazing model.
On a purely business level she ticked all the right boxes. Great communication leading up to and at the shoot. She arrived on time, she brought everything I asked [and more!]. She was respectful of the environment and everything in it.
Basically Halohid was a top professional in every way.
But that doesn't even begin to describe the warm, lovely and incredibly talented woman that she is.
I gave her the brief and immediately we worked out how our working styles could compliment each other. I had it on very good authority that Halohid was good, but I really had no idea how incredibly fabulous she would be! I told her what I wanted and she just gave it me!
Requiring only very minimal direction [basically break downs before each concept] I was able to concentrate on my side of the lens whilst she totally took care of hers.
Working with such an incredibly talented and professional model really helped me to push myself to create what I personally think are some of the best work I have ever done.'

'Her ability to model and shoot means she is the most amazing person to collaborate with, she understands what challenges the photographer faces!! Even better, she seems to naturally know what the photographer wants when she's modelling - she slides effortlessly between poses (yes, pose 1-7 happen in a smooth 3 second transition, gotta be on your toes when shooting with Halohid!!). And it doesn't hurt that she's the loveliest person to hang around with!!'

'Easily one of the best models in this country - certainly one of my all-time favourites.'

'You look like you belong in a mental asylum! But a poetic mental asylum. Somewhere in France!'
Deira Bowie (Okay, so maybe not as complimentary as the others but it entertains me and pretty much sums me up.)
