"The thing that sticks out the most from our shoot is Bella's willingness to be a model. So often with models each idea is a struggle as the model will argue about whether it fits her style or limitations or whatever. Bella trusted me to seek the right shots and posed in ways that may have seemed odd just to try and get the shot I was after. Which is what good models do. They strive to convey the photographers vision. Bella was great at it, and added zest and fun to the ideas. And she worked hard. Many models are disconcerted by my fast and frantic pace of shooting and set and outfit changes. But she hung right in there. Never complained and never asked for a break.When we went scurrying off to get the bikini work at sunset she listened to me on the way when I told her that we only had 10 minutes at best to get the right shot and that she had to pose well and pose fast. When shooting for calendar submission I am lucky to get one calendar worthy shot from a set, and am ecstatic if I get two. I had six calendar worthy images from our set and had a hard time choosing the one to use. Actually I am still not sure I chose the best, she did so well. Then we went back to the frenzy of the studio as I tried to get in all the looks I wanted. She stuck with me and posed perfectly. Bella is the consumate professional and extremely easy to work with. And then we did the shot I had been dying to do. Bella was the first in my "glitter" series. I had the idea and she agreed and bought into the concept. We used cake sprinkles and she patiently allowed me to put them on in the pattern I wanted. And then she posed and posed and posed as I shot over 100 images since I had never tried the concept and was not sure what would work. Our creation was magnificent. As of this writing it has 143 comments, 5333 views and is on 57 lists. It is one of the most memorable images in my port and one that I believe I will die being proud to have created. But the real secret was her willingness to try something new and give it the energy and excitement in her pose and expression that brought it to life.
