Sept. 13th & 14th- 2 Day Fashion Photo Workshop (photographers)
This 2-day workshop will cover many facets of fashion photography. Your days begin by observing as photographer Doug Myers takes you through the steps of producing a successful fashion photograph. You will learn the technical and lighting approach to fashion, casting, hair and makeup, how to direct a model, as well as a keen understanding of the garment being photographed and the audience for which the photograph is ultimately going to speak. Students will have the opportunity to work with with the models at the end of the day.
September 18th - Half Day Fashion Photo Demo Workshop ( photographers )
This half day workshop is for those interested in what a fashion photographer does and how she or he gets it done. Watch photographer Doug Myers take you through the steps of creating a successful fashion photograph
October 12th - Celebrity Portraiture with Brad Hines
Photographing celebrities presents unique technical and aesthetic challenges to the editorial portrait photographer, requiring preparedness, resourcefulness and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
Brad Hines is one of the most sought after and talented celebrity photographers in Los Angeles today. Bringing his unique talent, perspective and experience to this workshop, Brad shows participants his step-by-step approach to the celebrity portrait: Choosing a location, composing the image, sculpting with light and finally penetrating the surface and getting to the core of your subject. Participants learn lighting, posing and approaching your subject creatively.
Brad encourages participants to photograph people in an entirely different way, exploring the strange and complicated nature of being human. The intent of this workshop is to encourage participants in that moment of clarity and magical recognition between photographer and subject that makes a memorable and powerful portrait, while satisfying the needs of your client.
