I have two sides of my photography – fine art and commercial. I shoot commercial because it pays, but my heart is in the art! I like to bring the art into anything I shoot. Fashion is fun, editorial is exceptional. My background in documentary photography helps me tell the story.
I teach photography through the studio and at the Houston Center for Photography (
http://www.hcponline.org). HCP offers a wide range of beginning-to-advanced workshops from one day to four weeks. I also teach photography at the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies at Rice University (
http://gscs.rice.edu/). I’m always open to requests for assistance from up-and-coming photographers, and I do one-on-one mentoring.
