I have worked hard to be the best lifecasting artist I can be.
A lifecast statue is an attempt to crystallize a living, moving, changing person; it is always a collaborative artform; it is forever fascinating.
The human body does not have one ideal form; instead, we approach perfection from different directions, but we know it when one is close to that perfection. The reverence for beauty comes from deep within us. It symbolizes excellence on several different levels.
My own style is to seem to show no style, to leave no trace of my own hand, but to show only what the model brings. Of course I make a myriad of aesthetic decisions to do this, from choosing the pose, to determining the edges, to the final finish.
I hope to meet many models who appreciate that they are the representatives of beauty, for a while, and want to create a physical statue to keep. I want photographers and art directors to appreciate what is special and unique about lifecasts and use them in their own ways.
