Ericka Miner is interesting, fascinating, stunning yet extremely humble and rich with experience. The sweet-natured girl strives with willingness to allow things to happen. With an open mind, heart and soul of accepting that anything can and will happen this professional young lady allows her faith to light the path for her to achieve her dreams.
Ericka was a great basketball player. Obtaining the honor of being mentioned her sophomore year at Hutch-Tech High School into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame. She was given an honorable mention for All WNY. She was even apart of the successful Buffalo State Lady Bengals, SUNYAC Championship team, with head coach Fred Batchelor.
Relying on feminine charm and style never fails this former athlete to help outgun the competition. Off the court, Ericka has appeared as an actress on E! and the Style network on a T.V. show entitled, “Diary of an Affair.” She was the 2004 Maxim Magazine’s Hometown Hottie from Buffalo, NY and landed a tear sheet in Stuff Magazine’s 2005 Little Black Book issue.
Moving to D.C. in Jan. 2009, Ericka landed industry jobs immediately. She is one of the new faces for the 2009 Signature Lace Front Wig campaign in D.C., MD, and VA. She has a contract as a promotional model/host for companies such as: Volkswagen, Greygoose and Anheuser- Busch. Ericka was hired as a professional promotional model/host for jobs such as : The Maxwell Tour, The Britney Spears Circus Tour, Tiger Wood Nationals Tour and even the B.E.T. Rising Icons event with Keri Hilson, Mario, and The Dream. Recently appearing as a judge on The Tyra Banks show, Ms. Miner has interviewed many celebrities as well such as: Irv Gotti, Memphis Bleek, Brandy, Raheem Davaughn, Simeon Rice, Michael Colyar, Clinton Portis and so many more. This young lady doesn’t stop… Hosting parties for Maxim Magazine from New York City to Buffalo and recently co-hosted with Greygoose at R&B singer Mario’s B day bash at Club Love in D.C.
This young lady has gone from local to national but always comes back to her roots here in Buffalo. Donating to charities such as the HEART foundation on the east side of Buffalo. You have probably heard Ericka on WNY’s #1 Hip-Hop station WBLK, on air with DJ/ Jock- Mike Chaz. She co-hosts a local T.V. show entitled “Unveil wit Black Gail” which features upcoming local talent. Ericka was even featured on local billboards, news stations, and other advertisements for Stevo’s Matti Rouse handbag line. She's also done fashion shows for Bella’s Boutique..
Ericka spent so much of her life in the discontinuity between the image and the soul. She decided not to be defined by the images other people made of her; instead she resolved to harness her persona for her own purposes. “As I am growing into a woman I have learned that it’s not always about trying to please or impress people, it’s about what makes you feel good. That’s what makes me really shine and what makes just that… ME!”
The aspiring mogul is turning her “model” beauty and body into a business. She has already booked models for industry jobs with Nascar, Vaseline Men’s Lotion, Buffalo Wild Wings, Hennessy VSOP, The Jonas Brothers Tour, Lebron James Basketball events, State Farm and many more. Ericka has recently reported starting her own L.A.D.Y. (Learning about Dignified Years) empowerment organization right here in the Heart of Buffalo.
Now that doesn’t mean she has seen accomplishments without pain. Ericka, 25, has faced many challenges, in which she doesn’t pretend to have all the answers for. With the constant chatter about her personal and professional life, Ms. Miner still remains on target. “It is very unfortunate when people don’t want to see you grow but I am growing and planting seeds of faith and determination right here in Buffalo. Let us all lend a hand in helping those seeds grow. That is my dream: Promising a kind of endurance against all odds”.
