My name is Jacquelyn Nelson,  I am a new and aspiring photographer looking to get my work "out there" . I'm  still gaining experience in this field. My background in photograhy started when I signed up for begining photography 1 and 2. This was a year long class in which I excelled in all the darkroom procedures such as learning how to devlop film and create my pictures with different light exposures etc. This class was an amazing learning experience for me and opened my eyes to the world of art. Upon completition of the class, I knew I wanted to further my knowledege and my teacher suggested that I enroll in an  advanced placement photography class. So I did just that! This class challenged me and I loved every minute of it. I took part in several contests throughout  my classes and won awards. My biggest challenge was choosing a "concentration" (a portfolio of a selected topic)  and I chose fashion photography. I focused on fashion throughout the years and class vs. trash. I used different models to portray different decades and social influences on the world of fashion. I recently received my AP results and I scored a 4 which is an extremely high grade. I was lucky enough to have a great teacher to inspire me and all my photo endeavors and now the rest is up to me.

I’m attending  college and I will continue to pursue photography classes. I plan to make a career out of it. Ultiamtely my two passions in life are photography and fashion. If I could combine both that would be great! This site will help me network and possibly land me an internship or become an apprentice so I can further my career in photography.
