I'm Carrie Tibbs - a mobile and Certified Professional Make-up Artist for Beauty Marked Makeup Artistry.
Soon approaching my fifth year of business, here's some quick highlights so far. I have...
** Worked on national TV commercial campaigns as the Key Make-up Artist (TreStelle, Foto Source, Roche Accu-Chek, Source for Sports, etc) and music videos including a national video that has aired on MuchMusic;
** Been published [FACEON Magazine (UK - international), Vanity Magazine (UK - international), T&M Magazine (Canada - national), YYZ Living Magazine (Canada - national), Sessions Magazine (Canada - international), Auxiliary Magazine (US - North America), Reverie Magazine (Canada - national), Ovation Magazine (Canada - local), Racing Girls Calendar (Canada - national), Winners (Canada - National), LCBO (Canada - provincial) and Publix Super Markets (US - national)];
** Produced and collaborated on countless photo shoots for private commissions as well as portfolio builds for models, photographers, etc.;
** Been hired for several one-on-one Tutorials of varying clientele with varying skill levels;
** Just hit a milestone of 100 wedding bookings in four years (approximately 500 bride/bridal party applications in total);
** Won the Bride's Choice award from WeddingWire two years in a row for 2011 and 2012 (placing Beauty Marked in the top five percent of wedding professionals nationwide); and,
** Recognized and invited by WedLuxe Magazine to be a Glitterati Member (by definition, the Glitterati members are: "recognized for discerning quality and an exuberance of artistry and style. The WedLuxe Glitterati are the elite purveyors of panache, leaders and trendsetters in Canada's wedding industry. They are simply, the best vendors in the country.").

Art is passion. Passion is art.
Simply put, I love makeup artistry. And I take the "artist" part wholeheartedly. Having grown up with a passion for the arts and a love of painting, makeup artistry was such a natural step for me. From my perspective, makeup goes beyond beauty and enhancement; it really is about working with all walks of life to create a form of art, from initial creative process to the end result.
Every project results in an expression of my adoration for creativity and art; no matter if it's for a music video, a bride, an avant-garde photo series, or a woman who wants to learn how to put her best face forward. I love how each person that sits in my chair is a new and unique canvas to work with and a new person to get to know. I love being able to collaborate with clients to achieve our make-up goals.
