Try formating the card on your PC, then format it again in the camera.
Also if it has flat contacts like a SD card give them a clean with a nearly dry tissue of 99% rubbing Alcohol. If they are really dirty rub the contacts with a pencil erasure to clean them.
Hope that helps, or just buy another card when they are on sale, I see them really cheap every once in a while even in the camera shops which surprises me because most camera shops are over priced.
