I'm moving beyond amateur status. I have assembled a decent studio and invested in some fantastic equipment. Now I need to strengthen my portfolio. I've been into photography since 1994, but it's not until recently that I've been trying to shoot professionally and gain recognition. I'm looking for models to build my portfolio and to provide to a model's own portfolio. I want to do portrait work, but would also like to explore artistic concepts as well. They can be my own or someone's suggestion. I studied graphic design at Modesto's Institute of Technology and graduated from there with honors. I really took a liking to photography so the design aspect is secondary to my career/artistic goals. I am currently shooting with a Nikon D300 and a Hasselblad 500C/M (Medium Format) and Interfit lighting.
"I believe that beauty lies within everything good or bad. Pictures simply capture light reflected in a scene at a given moment. We put forth our past, our experiences, ourselves and it is reflected back to us from those images giving them feelings, emotions, and truths. Some images are better at reflecting those things than others. I photograph in the hope that my images can reflect something more than just light."
I'm looking for anyone interested in being photographed. I'm willing to TFP, so I can log some additional photography practice.
