Hello, thanks for checking out my page!
I'm a hobby level shutterbug with over 22 years of general photography & about 11 years photographing people (mostly tooling around, I wont lie), only recently trying to expand & refine my skill with photographing people. 2010 & 2011 were great years for me artisticly, I'm hoping to make 2012 as good or better!
I started photography as a means to record my journeys throughout my 20 year Navy career. In the process I gradualy got more advanced cameras, & completed the US Navy Photographer professional courses to learn the basic theory & mechanics of film photography.
My primary experience is in landscapes, I've been all over the globe & taken photos in some of the most amazing places (check out my DeviantArt gallery). I've also done some events, comercial work, weddings, motorcycle rallies, etc.
I know I'm not great, I dont need any more photo-snobs to point it out, thanks,...
However, I'll never improve, develop my style, & create better images by simply reading books & perving profiles, but by gaining something you can not buy, expereince.
I'm not looking to make a living here, I'm in this for the creative outlet I lost when my urge to do pen & ink drawings dried up. If in the process I can create images that people enjoy, I've done what I came to do.
I'm open to ANY kind of shoot (try me, I dont suprise easily). I'm up for anything from the mundane to the freaky, whatever helps me expand my experience base, allows me to experiment, & of course sounds like fun! I have some ideas that range across that spectrum, but I prefer to work with someone before I try to match them to a concept. That & I like models with ideas!
Just to throw it out there, I'm not just some gnarly old fart with a cheap point-n-shoot camera lookin for skin (I've heard enough horror stories, I dont want to BE one!), I'm for real & I've got more than enough on my hands at home, thanks! If you are thinking about working with me, I encourage you to contact any of the ladies I have worked with here on MM about their expereince.
Do I really have to mention flakes? I hope not.
But, just so ya know:
Starting in 2011 my availability is limited to Tue, Wed, & Thur only. I know that doo-doo occurs and plans can change, I dont mind that IF people can let me know as far in advance as possible. However with the limited time I have free to do anything for the forseable future I honestly will not deal with flakes.
I have also found that editing time is limited due to the hours I am away from home, please be patient if I dont get you your images at light speed on more complex shoots.
When possible, I like to meet before doing a shoot so we can go over what each of us is looking for, ideas, etc. Mostly so that I can get a better feel for the model/s, & more importantly they get a feel for me and decide if they want to go ahead with a shoot. It also helps everyone relax when they have an idea of what to expect when the lense cap comes off.
Escorts are OK, encouraged even, so long as they dont interfere (or I may put them to work!).
