Summer Wilson got her accidental start in photography shooting some of the hottest parties, concerts and soirees on the west coast. This experience gave her the skills necessary to survive in multi-lighting environments and carved her signature style of making her models act or move as if they were in a film or on a dance floor. Five years later she has flushed her skills into a commercial career pursuing lifestyle, fashion and editorial work shooting clothing look-books, food and travel editorials and lifestyle advertisements. She believes creativity comes from adventure and experiencing new things. Her latest creative endeavor was back packing South America and most recently she’s picked up painting.
Her advice to her modeling clients: Practice your art! “Behind every photograph is the work of an entire team. And although the photographer often leads the shoot, it is up to the model to deliver the mood, silent act the part and give everyone’s creative ideas life!” Her next advice: Live on the wild side. “No one ever got anywhere amazing playing it safe. If you want to reach higher you have to extend yourself beyond what you thought possible.”
Summer takes her role as a photographer with a slight hint of humor but her work is of the highest integrity. She offers nothing less that her best at each shoot and believes quality only comes with significant imagination and teamwork.
“Imagination rules the world.” Napoleon
