NELLY CASTILLO

Nelly Castillo was born in the beautiful and tropical port of Veracruz, Mexico. She speaks three languages: Spanish, English and French.  She graduated as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications in 2005 at Universidad Autonoma Villa Rica afiliated to Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM), the most important public university in the country. She did various important projects there, for instance, she interviewed two personalitites, Richard Stallman and John "Maddog" Hall, who are the creators of Free Software. She also hosted a TV program called "A Cuadro" directed to the young University students, with entertainment and general content. In 2003, Nelly was crowned Miss "Nuestra Belleza de Veracruz", Boca del Rio. Thanks to her beauty and charisma she started co-hosting in a TV program produced by TELEVISA called "Soy Tiuron Superior", directed to soccer fans. One of her latest important jobs was acting as a "Jade teeth woman" in the major film APOCALYPTO, directed by MEL GIBSON. Nelly had the opportunity to meet this excellent actor/director and got a letter of recommendation from him to study acting in New York. She lived in NYC for almost a year where she was able to experience the different acting techniques. There she met the recognized artist and painter FRANCISCO VILLAGRAN who saw in her a muse for his inspiration in his new art concept LATIN POP ART. Nelly moved to L.A. in May 2007 to move forward in her career. After a few months in L.A. met producer HENRY K. PRIEST who is currently her manager. During this time Nelly has acted as a main role in the Latin TV miniseries SECRETOS produced by CANAL 62, co-starred a music video for French DJ DAVID GUETTA, starred another music video for Italian Singer FRANCESCO SONDELLI, played a lead role as a mom in a Commercial for a MICROSOFT LAPTOP which was featured on ABC, hosted a fun TV program for Hispanic audiences about unusual videos called CLIP TV and participated in other projects as model, actor and TV host. She is Commercially represented by TALENTOLA, a SAG franchised agency. Nelly Castillo is undoubtedly a multi talented individual who will bring all her craft and skills to every project she is part of. This charming, beautiful and intelligent Latina is an eye catch to all kinds of audiences.
