I am a classically trained illustrator who has been painting and photographing pinup and glamour art for 30 years. Also, I have authored of a couple of books and numerous magazine articles about 20th Century pinup, illustration artwork, and style.
I have also been an art instructor for more than 20 years, and currently teach drawing and design at the Madison Media Institute. My work has been published in comics, animation and other related industries.
I am most influenced and fond of the period between 1940 - 1960, and along with my work, collect and enjoy everything from artwork to automobiles of that time.
I have worked with countless actresses and models, and am always searching for new faces with a classic pinup look. Poise, personality, and ability to travel is a must.
In addition to drawing and painting from life, I shoot and use my own reference photos. I will be adding some of these as time and space permits. Models typically want to know how I go from a pose, to finished painting. I have been working with both still, movie cameras, and lighting as long as I have been painting.
I have also been conducting seminars on the application of HD glamour makeup for the Graftobian Makeup Company. As an airbrush and pinup artist, this process comes pretty easy for me.
I am currently working on a timeless pinup project with a mens clothing manufacturer. They will be using my work for advertising, and product design. This is an extensive and ongoing project that will include at least a dozen new paintings over the next year alone.
