Melanie was a makeup artist for the tour of Disney’s The Lion King.  She is also the Wig and Makeup designer for Atlanta Opera, Atlanta Ballet, The Fox Theater, Austin Lyric Opera, The State and Paramount Theaters, Ballet Austin, Broadway Texas, and The Performing Arts Center at the University of Texas. 
  In addition to the work that she has does in Texas, Melanie has worked at many opera houses around the country such as The Santa Fe Opera, Baltimore Opera, Central City Opera, Bard Summer Scape, Kentucky Opera, Spoletto Festival USA, Opera Pacific, and Michigan Opera Theater.  Ms. Steele had the pleasure of working in both the wig and makeup departments durring the world Premier of Broadway's AIDA and continues with the tour intermittently.  She has also worked with The Producers, Phantom of the Opera, Ms. Siagon, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Mama Mia, and Les Miserables.  Her work has been featured in People, Time, and News Week.  Melanie also spends time as a personal makeup artist in Film, Television, and on photography.
