I find that quote to be so true and so inspiring.  It is true that fashion, photography and modeling is living art at its most basic level.  We are the canvas and have the ability to create a new story of self every single day.

That is why the fashion industry is such an oxymoron.  As a whole, fashionistas profess their undying love for the feminine form while flipping their noses at a woman with a full figure.  It is for that reason, that I am drawn to that quote, "All profoundly original work looks ugly at first". 

Here we are, on the forefront, profoundly original.

My name is Devyn Ashley, I have about 25,000 myspace friends and get over 10K page hits per week.  I host an internet radio show on a local L.A. station and am currently working on several indepentdent films.

The general rule for plus size women in the modeling industry is that you either keep covered up to be considered "main stream" or show your curves and be labeled as an "urban model" and therefore not as marketable. 

In the real world, this is simply not the case.  Reality is that the more curves a woman has, she is automatically going to appear more sexy.  Put the same form fitted dress on me at a size 18 and on a model who is a size 2, you can bet your bottom dollar that with my 53-38-54 figure, I will exude more sexuality without even trying. 

I am looking for people who understand the natural allure of a plus size model and will not expoit it, but embrace it in a classy and dignified manner.
