Update November, 2009 - I'M BACK!

I'm excited to begin shooting in the coming weeks and looking for some new opportunities. I know I've been gone for nearly a year but I miss you all. ~Stephen
I am looking to create alluring, striking photography here. I want to work with photographers with vision, and anyone who can see something in me through the self portraits and snapshots I've chosen to represent myself in the absence of professional shoots (keep an eye out for the first, coming soon) please drop me an email and let me know what you have in mind! I am open to all sorts of ideas, I love expressing myself in many different ways, be it through music, the written word or photography, and I'd like to step back and let a professional take the reigns and see what comes of it. I'm blown away by a lot of what I see here and cannot wait to see the contrast between different photographers and styles and what we can create together.
I am willing to travel a bit, and used to doing so, so please feel free to contact me if you are within a reasonable distance from me and would like to work something out. Some larger cities that are within reason for me to travel to would be Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point North Carolina and all surrounding areas of the Triad, though Charlotte, Raleigh, etc would be a bit of a stretch, I'm willing to consider it. As for Virginia, I am about as far South as you can get in this rather large state. I'm much closer to North Carolina than I am to any large cities in VA, which all tend to be clustered at the Northern tip of the state. Roanoke, Christiansburg, Danville and Lynchburg are within reason, so if you are near one of these cities we can also talk.
Drop a line or just a tag to say hello.. All comments are returned and if they aren't, rest assured I will return them as soon as I catch them. I appreciate any and all criticism, feedback or just the time and thought taken to leave a tag or comment. Thank you for stopping by and I hope to hear from you.
Lets Go Away For Awhile...
~Stephen

I will be updating this profile more thoroughly in the near future when I update the portfolio with more professional shots. In the meantime, some notes -
*my hair is is very dark by nature as I am Italian, but at the moment it is a mixture of reds, a deep mahogany blended with subtle honey colored streaks, and the newest picture to convey that is the next to last in my port, bottom row, where I'm wearing sunglasses. It is layered, and medium length with the shortest layers resting around my eyes and the longest sitting just above my shoulders. It can be curly and wild but also responds very well to a simple flat iron.
*My look is versatile and I love fashion so I'm very open to new ideas and styles, though my own personal style tends to lean toward the vintage (and if you insist on using this term, "retro") I have in the past, and do still enjoy a darker, gothic look, or "Vampire chic" again, if you're into labels.

Really I am willing to try anything once.
*My height was difficult for me to settle on, as I kept getting different results that seemed too tall to be right when I measured myself, so I went with the conservative calculation (I kept getting something in the range of 5'6" to 5'8" barefoot and that seemed too much, and since I'm used to boots that add an extra few inches on top of a style of dress that also plays down my long torso and "lengthens" my legs (I know how to dress) I usually come off more in the 5'8" - 5'9" range. I've had photographers tell me they prefer shorter men for print work/photography, and thats fine by me, as I know I will never see a runway in my lifetime. ;p
*I am open to all types of projects, but I would really love to pursue some really surreal, artistic visuals.. Nudes are not out of the question for the future, though implied nude would be greatly preferred and it had better be artistic and worth it, and no, I would not do TF* nudes. Sorry. Other than this, I am completely open to suggestions and actually fascinated at what a photographer can do with me and have no problem taking direction.
*Anything else you think is relevant or want to know, please ask, I'm a very open/honest person and easy to talk to. This also goes for any criticism or suggestions for presentation, from my portfolio to my profile. I look forward to hearing from you!
