JBO Photography

I'm a professional photographer based in the Philadelphia area, with over 30 years experience.  My specialty is probably "candid people photography."  I also have a passion for travel and experiencing other cultures and have been fortunate enough to have traveled most of the World documenting many remote, and unfortunately, disappearing cultures.  In addition to my travel and cross cultural photography I also have extensive experience photographing sports, events, and most other types of photography.

My desire is to use my talents in collaboration with free spirited models to create memorable images.  Images that invoke emotion.  An ideal model for me would be fun, easy going, expressive, and comfortable with nudity.  I prefer a more natural look and my interests lie more in the artistic realm than glamour.  I'm also interested in capturing movement and unique poses, so a model with classic dance training would be a major plus.  In fact any model who is athletic, flexible, or has a passion for the arts would be an ideal fit.  The most important thing to me is Attitude.  I'm a relaxed, easy going person who likes to have fun, so it would nice to work with like minded models.

I prefer shooting outdoors, or on location, so I'll probably only undertake a limited amount of projects until Spring.  However, if you have an interesting place to shoot feel free to email me with any ideas.  Urban photography and Black & White are some avenues I'd like to explore.  Although I own studio lights, I prefer natural light, and as already mentioned prefer the freedom of shooting on location and also capturing a model within the context of an environment whether indoors or out.

Finally, I have a couple soon-to-expire airline vouchers.  So if I contact you, and you're not in the Philly area, it's probably because I'm considering using one of the vouchers to visit your area.
