Hendrick Studios

Hendrick Studios is a commercial, wedding and special event photography business. We do all types of wedding, special event and commercial photography as well as fine art photography. My husband Michael and I the owners and primary shooters.

We do not limit ourselves when it comes to photography. All forms of photography subjects, including modeling and portraiture can be enhanced by the creativity from both the subject and photographer. We believe that participation in the creative process by both parties can enhance the shoot and the images. We like our models to be excited about the shoot and feel they are welcome to contribute their ideas and concepts.

Often, when the shoot is large enough to justify it, we hire second shooters and photo assistants. We are college educated with multiple degrees in the photographic and fine arts. We have degrees in photography, videography and graphic design. We have been doing professional photography for 6 years and professional videography for 2 years. We primarily use Canon digital and film SLR cameras.

We shoot in studio and on location indoors or outdoors. We are open to all types of modeling and portraiture. Our favorites are Pin-Up, Old Hollywood Glamour, Modern Glamour, Fashion, High Fashion, Fine Artistic Nudes, Lingerie, Beauty, Erotica and other creative ideas and styles.

We like to be edgy and creatively unique. We don't want our images to be the same old thing you see everywhere. Even if it's just a headshot, it can be made interesting and artistic. We do headshots, and ZED cards for actors and models, which follow the the standard expectations. But let's face it, ZED cards and headshots need to show the model off in the best ways possible to be considered by future employers. Adding a little artistic spice to the mixture often helps make an image memorable and makes the model stand out from the crowd in a positive way.

We often work on artistic projects with specific goals in mind. We combine our artistic skills with our photographic skills to achieve the desired looks. Having computer graphic design skills in Adobe's Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign help set us apart from the average photographers. Of course we do digital retouch, but we also do digital artwork that combines multiple images into a creative photographic artwork.

Our main income is in wedding and commercial photograpy. These subjects pay our bills and allow us to be the artists we are. These types of paid jobs will always take presidence over TF* shoots and image retouching. So, please do not be discouraged if we need to postpone your shoot because of a wedding or if we take a few days longer than expected to get your images retouched. If I could get the landlord and utility companies to accept photos instead of cash, I would do so. But until then... paid jobs come 1st.
