Remember when realistic women with beautiful figures had appeal? They were in famous historical paintings and fabulous pin-up art.

What happened??

My day job includes both administrative and sales tasks in a fashion resale environment. I work with clients of very shape and size, with body issues and without, and teach them how to

1) see themselves as beautiful
1) dress themselves appropriately while experimenting with their own personal style, and
2) rock their outfits with confidence every day.

My belief that there is beauty in everyone and so I am here to stomp on size and fashion barriers with a giant pair of sparkly biker boots. It is time to step up and prove that that size 4 (and smaller) models aren't the only ones who look stunning in clothes.

I have experience in costuming, styling, and merchandising, but am looking to connect with people who would want me to model in artistic or edgy photo shoots via Model Mayhem. What I hope to gain with MM is the power to send out a message and lead by example, by participating in projects where models are more comparable to goddesses with some kick-ass curves.

So far, my modeling experience comes from working with people who wanted to portray a healthy body and a sassy model who didn't look bored. One who created excitement, either by inventing dynamic poses for photos, or by working with the photographer from concept to setup to finish. The feeling of completing a hands-on DIY project is amazingly fun. Because of this, I am also a contributing writer for String Magazine.

I do not meet the industry standard and think that that is an important aspect of diversifying the local fashion scene.
