I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil in my hand, now that pencil has emerged into a pressure sensitive table with a realistic painting style that has been transmitted to the digital canvas with a wide range of power and imaginative visual styles.
Fleshing out visuals with fantastic characters taken from photo reference, I bring together realism of photography with my painting ability together making illustrations that are digitally produced to the marketplace of fantasy art.
This bent reality makes a strange mixture of real and surreal with stunning detail and technique. Working with professional models, family and friends, who model for me, I find there is beauty in all people and as an artist I’ll strive to find that beauty and capture it in as many creative ways as possible. Whether that beauty be a classic hero or femme fatale in distress or scenes from a medieval legend, or a futuristic sci-fi flare complete with special effects.
I've covered it all using the latest in software and computer equipment. I don’t just trace a photo but rather bring my book covers and main characters a quality of color, lighting, and just the right detail to make a strong impact on the viewer.
