The name’s Michael Eldon.

As a photographer I’m very concept driven. Conjuring ideas to execute and polish is more then just a pastime for me- it’s my everyday. Millions of thoughts pass through a mind in a day, grasping onto these concepts keeps me wanting to do more and more. The creation of finely contrasted items, and determining the right tonal ranges within a photograph is a vital part of what I do. I try to keep my images edgy and cleaver, and not to mention, thought provoking. I tend to generate many different types of portraiture. A lot of my work between digital and analogue are composed of different styles of dark humor.  Fashion photography has always been an interest of mine. With that being said my work does have a very ‘ugly pretty’ quality that functions as another distinguishing factor. It may be nostalgia, but the rustic areas of the city call to me. I’m intrigued by old dilapidated and broken down areas- with these decaying environments, placing the models I use creates a contrast between subject and the background, another notion I love to play with. My final images are taken through a fine editing process that helps the end all piece captivate and intrigue the viewer.

I had always aspired to become a photojournalist- and indulge in the news works and travel. Realistically I’d like to become a part of a magazine someday and still travel, but have the right outlet for my work.

I’m here to build a strong portfolio- Work with me and I will work with you to achieve the images we both want.


TF- (Limited/Approached for TF work) There’s a lot of guff about this topic. TF work with me involves taking the shots editing them, and putting the images on CD for both of our uses. Editing the images after the fact without previously talking and agreeing on it will discredit you and I- and neither of us want that.

Paid- I’m starting to charge a flat rate of $50 per hr. It’s not only work on your end, it’s work on mine as well. Editing the photos is time, and time is money. Times are tight, and gas ain’t cheap. These are quality images- so compensation for my work is more then appropriate.

Nude Work- I have posted castings for nude work in the past and labeled it under, ‘Negotiable’- this has yet to be a problem, as long as there’s communication, we will discuss what amount, fits the shoot.

I am looking for serious models with experience, I am not the model, do not ask me what to do on a shoot. Along with this, I’m looking for models that are not stuck up and full of themselves, if you can have fun, so can I and it will make the final outcome that much better!

Do not flake on a shoot, don’t approach me for a shoot and forget about it. If you say you’re interested in a casting I posted, sweet. If you post that you’re interested, and do not respond, don’t bother saying you’re interested.
