Hello Mayhem,
My name is Mike Young and my wife Teresa and I operate our studio my original photo blog’s name of Ozark Photos and/or Michael Young Photography. We have been serious photographers for about five years now, having dabbled in it prior to that. Photography is still just a hobby so any schedules we come up with will have to rotate around day jobs.
Personally, I enjoy taking photographs and believe in the artistic and journalistic aspects of photography. That is where my favorite photos tend to lead. You can view more of my work in various locations,

We recently changed locations due to my day job. We are now primarily based out of Fort Scott, Kansas. We still operate out of Springfield also so please don’t hesitate to contact me.
I can’t speak for Teresa but I have recently enjoyed developing a line of vintage pictures and this seems to be where my current photographic interests are taking me. Some examples of that work follow:

The second shot below is a very recent photo of model AllisonKH MM# 1860681 taken at the University Plaza Hotel lobby in Springfield, Missouri.
Enough background, here are the guidelines we shoot by.
•We do not typically do nude shots. That doesn’t mean the work we do will not be “edgy, dramatic or provocative” but we believe there are ways to do this other than nudity. We will NOT approach you to do nude shots, PERIOD. If this, however, is something you are interested in then please let us know up front.
•We believe in capturing sparks of a model’s personality in the images we do.
•We expect and welcome escorts. We more than likely will shoot with each other or a lighting assistant; your escort could serve that function and will be welcome. If you do not have an escort let us know and we will likely bring someone if we (Teresa and I) cannot shoot as a team.
•Light is key, we prefer to work in early mornings or late evening for natural light photos or on overcast days to provide the dramatic lighting. We do have off camera lighting and a very small in home studio for the times those are needed.
•We believe in having fun, models that are stuck up or snobbish will be sent home!
•You are an equal partner in this endeavor. Your thoughts, ideas and suggestions are always welcome. We enjoy trying new things and having a session which flows with creativity.
•Your success is my goal. We will shoot and process your pictures with this in mind. We want to work with models serious about developing a model portfolio. We can give you some suggestions and assistance with your portfolio compared to industry norms. We can work together to look at pictures you have had taken by other photographers and fill in the gaps to help you move to a higher level in your portfolio.
With MM models we now prefer to work on a TFCD basis in both directions. With that said, we do not expect you to be out of pocket for anything. We will discuss potential expenses you may incur prior to any shoot and arrive at an agreement prior to the photo session. After all, we want the actual shoot day to be fun.
We now prefer to deliver my images to you using Dropbox. This is an online file sharing service. What this means to you is as soon as an image is finished you have it on your computer!
