FIRST... CHECK OUT MY NEW WEBSITE: SARAH-DONALDSON.COM
Now... I'm feeling ambitious and would like to add to my portfolio. I've had great success meeting 2 nice photographers on here who I am planning to work with again, but I would love to see who else has creative ideas for trades. Since acting is my priority, I have no interest in nudes and am not looking for bikini shots at this time.
My interests would be to do a pin up style shoot, either by an old car, in an old kitchen, or more Mad Men style with a martini. Or all three.
I also am seeking dynamic headshots where my eyes really pop. Outdoor or indoor shoots welcomed.
Indoor business shoots for industrials would be helpful.
And, there is an area in the South Bay with incredibly colorful and interesting mosaics. This is a must shoot for me comedically and involves me dressed as a chef with an apron chasing and being chased by crabs, as well as normal beach shots. (I hereby copyright this idea!)
Please let me know your thoughts and if you want to have a fun shoot next week!
*** SPECIAL UPDATE AS OF AUGUST 18, 2009 ***
It's time for a HUGE announcement....
Sarah Donaldson has been cast on an all new reality competition show for actors called "HELLBENT FOR HOLLYWOOD" and needs YOU to vote for her to stay in the competition!!!
Voting just started August 17. Go to:
You'll find her with a yellow flower in her hair.
A cross between "American Idol" and "Survivor," she'll be competing in acting challenges and your votes contribute to her "Q Factor." The higher her "Q Factor," the longer she will stay on the show... it's the equivalent of immunity. Additionally, the more places her name pops up on the internet, the higher her "Q Factor" will get, so please share this group on your walls and with your friends.
In the end, she can win $15,000 worth of prizes including a contract with a high profile agent, new headshots with Oprah's favorite headshot photographer, 6 months worth of salon visits, a yoga and pilates instructor, a new wardrobe and makeover, and, more than anything, lots of exposure.
Thousands auditioned. 100 remain. And in the end, you will help her be the newest fresh face in Hollywood!
She'll put in the time and the hard work to make you proud and in turn would appreciate any opportunities to participate in events you may have on the west coast and seeks to help volunteer for any of your charitable organizations in turn for your support over the next few months during this process.
"Hellbent for Hollywood" seeks to reinvent Hollywood, allowing actors from 18-100 to compete, highlighting the problems with Hollywood, intending to change the way Hollywood does business, and it's only objective is to launch professional acting careers.
It's an incredible opportunity for this stage actress to crack open the stage doors and break into Film and TV. With your votes and your support, you'll help her strut right through!
Thanks so much for all of your help!
Now get to voting!
One vote per email address, but you know you have more than one....
I've taken the past 3 years to work behind the scenes in Entertainment Business jobs, but I am ready to get new photos to get back into the spotlight myself. Originally from Philly, I have lived and performed all over the country from doing a Broadway Tour, to dancing in a music video that has been viewed over 50 million times, to various SAG gigs. Now, after working for ICM over this past year since I moved to Los Angeles, I know that I can't really get any work without color shots and, unfortunately, I just lost my job last week, too, making money extra tight. Therefore, I am taking my friend's advice after she generated an entire portfolio through this site and am seeking trades with photographers of our time so that we both may get some new photos and new connections out of this forum. I am seeking both indoor and outdoor shots, am very creative with location ideas myself, and need both headshots and full lengths immediately.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon as I am eager to get some great new shots... THIS WEEK!
