"...But in the end it is only the Truth, no matter how ugly or shameful, that is right, that fits together, that makes Real people, and strangely enough - Beauty.” -Louise Brooks
And on that note, the Truth is that I'm older than what it says here. But hey, it got you here, didn't it?
PLEASE NOTE: Contrary to what it states here, I did NOT join in 2008! I joined 4 Nov. 2011. I currently don't need to do any more TF shoots, so with very limited exceptions, I work only for pay, as usual. Also, I am often in L.A., so if you're based there and would like to work together, let's talk! Models in either area, hit me up - would love to work with you as a make-up artist, too!
I am an experienced, curvy, feminine art model. 100% Natural. I do yoga, so my body is not "hard and cut," but definitely womynly. My experience includes photography and canvas modeling for private, as well as class settings, in L.A., Paris, France, and more recently, San Francisco over the span of 16 plus years, initially pursuing the work as a way to overcome body-image fears. I am very comfortable working alongside another model, male or female. As a make up artist, as well, I do my own for natural shoots, unless you have an artist on hand to portray a specific look for your project, of course. I am reliable, on time, Respectful, take direction well, comfortable with my body and the camera, as well as class settings, have a sense of humour and enjoy this process immensely, and wish to work with like-Minded Artists only, please. (No perverts or GWC, and yes, you know who you are.)
AREAS of INTEREST:
*I am primarily interested in working with Artists who Appreciate, Respect and genuinely admire the female form in all its Realness. I have had the unique pleasure of working with several such Individuals over the years, and each time, it has proven to be highly effective in delivering the most exquisite results for both parties. If you are specifically working on a project that exalts the female form, in all its varying shapes and sizes, as a way to continue promoting the thorough meaning of the word "Beautiful," please do contact me. I'm your womyn!
*I want to do ART. I don't wish to pose nude or implied or even clothed just for the sake of getting a "hey, here's a sexy shot of a lady!" I like images that make statements, that have a story to tell, that showcase the Beauty of a womyn as the piece of Art that She really is, regardless of her size, shape, colour, age, or garments worn or not worn...I think you know what I mean. If you don't, check out my list "Images That Inspire Me."
For more images, you may also view my profile on www.myspace.com/dartingtrout
- click on album entitled "Seulement Lily..." These are only images of Yours Truly, some candid, some posing/art shots. And no, I'm blissfully not on facebook. (Oh, my, whatever shall you do now?)
With no disrespect to anyone or their own process out there, please understand the following...
I intend to only 'friend' photographers, directors, producers, and the like (with few exceptions). Models, if you want to work together, either via my make-up artistry or to do a cool shoot, please email me. To the rest of you, unless your avatar can, at the very least, exude professionalism and Respect in your craft, I am not interested in adding it to my profile, thereby sending the impression that I lack likewise as a model. And if your work doesn't exemplify the type of work I wish to do, by the same token, I will not be adding you. Thank you for understanding.
If you like what you see and read here, I'd love to hear about your endeavours, including the amount of time you'd expect from me. (I expect a minimum of at least 2 hours per shoot.) Please contact me for my rates. Respectful emails will get respectful responses. Cheers!
"No one actually looks like the retouched images of the seemingly perfect people in sexy ads. It's impossible to be that flawless, with no wrinkles, blemishes, and scars. Acknowledging this fact, the iconic supermodel Cindy Crawford once said, "I wish I looked like Cindy Crawford." Our unconscious inclination to compare ourselves to such unrealistic ideals is the source of a lot of mischief in our lives. Your assignment in the coming week, Cancerian, is to divest yourself, as much as possible, of all standards of perfection that alienate you from yourself or cause you to feel shame about who you really are.
