Duality

Duality is the collaborative vision of photographers, Michael and Lori Gibbons.  Working together for the past 7 years, the two artists create images that often share the same subject but are open to each photographer's individual interpretation and further separated by the difference inherent in man/woman/nature/industry.  The two perspectives are then brought together in a single image or set apart in juxtaposition.   Like many creative artists, we often include nudity in our work as a way to depict the various sides of the human animal, free from current fashion and other trappings that can date an image.

Michael and Lori have a combined 18 years of experience in photography with at least half of that time spent shooting professionally.  The images we create now are for fleshing out our body of work with the intent to eventually display in galleries and books.  We also shoot from time to time for commercial needs on side projects.

We have many new ideas and drive to create dramatic images that evoke a mood or tell a story.  Our art is self-financed, so we prefer TFP/CD but are also willing to pay for the right model or projects funded by clients.  If you are interested in working with us, please send us an email.   Please include your rates and whether or not you are open to TFP work.

We have become very adept with photoshop over the years and have developed a passion for layered compositions and handcoloring images.

TFP consideration:  In exchange for collaborating with us on images that we can use in the body of our work, we will supply to the model images shot specifically for his/her portfolio (if desired), a CD with all images from the shoot (4x6 resolution), and three 8x10's. 

Our portfolio has a wide range and in addition to fine art work we have also shot fashion/glamour professionally for Macy's, Mervyn's, professional models, etc.  Additionally, we have produced editorial work for National Geographic, ESPN and Fox Sports.  We are also willing to trade Photoshop work (comp cards, etc.) for modeling as well.  We are both professional graphic/web designers.
