Is what we are considered the same as what we've been doing the longest?
If I were to be classified by the length of my experience in a particular creative medium, then I'd have to list Illustrator/Designer. I didn't dive into photography until I was 14.
Commercial photography eventually led into film production, as a writer, producer and director of television commercials, for the likes of Honda, Suzuki, and others. Commercials provided a stepping stone to producing and directing television programming for ESPN, espn2 and Spike. And when not working, I've partied at the Playboy mansion, and met Hugh Hefner ... but I must admit his employees were much more interesting (sorry, blatant name drop).
At the dawn of the Web, I was a Director at a large Atlanta ad agency. By 1995, I was already designing and developing web sites. I've also consulted for Fortune 500 Companies, including Citibank (NYC), The Home Depot (ATL), AmericanAirlines (TX), HealthSouth (AL), and many others.
Besides my own creative web site at MATRE.com — careful where you step — I own and operate a few others, including the popular, and award-winning FarmersMarket.com, which actress Daryl Hannah recently included in one of her videos.
I have a photo and design studio, and occasionally, when there's a break in the chaos, I photograph models. I hope another break comes around soon.

Excellent work on your retouching. Photoshop is amazing, I'm always discovering new areas to play in and 15 different ways of getting the same thing accomplished. You've got me beat though.
