I was born and raised in New York City.  I still remember receiving my first SLR camera from my grandmother when I was 14.  She was cleaning out her house and decided to give me her old camera.  But what really got me interested in photography is that my first love wanted to get into modeling and asked me to take photos of her.  So I did.  We would travel all over the city and experiment with backgrounds, lighting and locations.  I really started seeing that I liked to use Manhattan as my backdrop… in the subway, on the ferries and bridges.  I soon started learning how to use the camera through trial and error because I was taking pictures of more and more people.

    While attending film school, I put down the still camera for a while and picked up the movie camera.  As I concentrated on that, I didn’t get the chance to do as much photography as I would have liked because I was always making films.  But, now that I am working in the film industry I have been able to get involved with photography again.  Through the industry I have also met many people who have introduced me to people who have needed headshots, composite shots and band shots. 

    The style of picture I take is what I like to call “Grit Pop. There is a good mix of color and edge.  I am heavily influenced by the 80’s era and New York City in general.  The feeling and emotion you get from living here is amazing and I really try to portray that in my pictures that I take.   

I am also a camera operator for reality shows and have worked on ones such as The Bachelor, The Apprentice, Newlyweds and many more.
