Mayhem # 12015
I'm thinking of giving this site another shot. It seems like some of the administrative angst over nudity issues may have settled at least a little bit. I certainly see more links to straight up erotic sites on popular people's profile pages and such. I don't shoot the most adult stuff in the universe, but I've never been comfortable hiding the adult side of my work, certainly not to maintain a profile here of all places. So, hopefully I won't get bounced or some nonsense.
Here is a summary of my older feelings on this site, from about three years ago I guess, in case you are wondering what I'm on about here:
To be honest, I don't really look at this site (Model Mayhem) much anymore. I found it's policies on nudes, artistic and otherwise, just too conflicted, vague, and unevenly enforced. 75% of the conversations in the forums are about porn and tits and ass, but a friend of mine has his penis showing in his portfolio and his account gets deleted. Make up your mind already. I'm all for staying well within reasonable clear guidelines, but if the people in charge of maintaining order can't agree with each other, much less communicate the rules clearly, well...
But, if you still wanna know...
Professionally, I started out as an art director for Blue Blood magazine and eventually picked up the camera to shoot the creative ideas we wanted on the pages. Blue Blood has always been about celebrating vibrant eclectic underground lifestyles and sharing the positive beauty of counterculture sexuality. As a successful print publication, Blue Blood pioneered alterna-culture erotica and paved the way for a lot of the hottest looks today. In addition to shooting for Blue Blood, My creative partner, Amelia G (#12204), and I have also shot for quite a lot of other publications ranging from some of the coolest underground zines all over the world, to pretty much all the super glossy fetish fashion magazines, as well as the huge circulation music and adult publications that can be found on nearly every newsstand.

***What I Am Looking For***
We enjoy shooting a variety of body types. We photograph men, women, and those in between. The most important thing to me is that someone I shoot have that certain something, star quality, individuality, passion of personal expression to put in front of the lens. I like cool hair too. Although I shoot a lot of fashion and music work, I have a strong preference for photographic subjects who are comfortable nude. Nude shoots generally pay, although I am not totally closed to content trade with exceptionally creative models. Our pay rates are comparitively high for art and comparitively low if you are used to rates from your usual job doing anal gangbangs.
Always interested in funky, cool, punk, gothic, couture, latex, extreme designers who want exposure for their creations. If you are interested in press and product placement in shoots, you can mail samples with return information (i.e. whether you want your items back, what your timeline is, particular hopes for shooting) to:
8033 Sunset Blvd #4500
West Hollywood, CA 90046
I adore makeup artists who can do wild forward-fashion creative looks. Ability to do body makeup is a plus. We generally only have more than a microbudget for makeup for larger commercial jobs, but I am very open to doing portfolio trades and other punk rock barter with inspirational individuals.
Want to tell me and Forrest Black what to do? Need catalog work, band promo shots, magazine layouts? Please feel free to inquire here or to firstname.lastname@example.org with information on your job and your general budget. Pricing will fluctuate based on your needs and our expenses i.e. models, makeup artists, location, rentals, etc. We will, however, attempt to work within whatever budget you have. If you have a budget where we can pull out all the stops, then you will certainly be thrilled, but we also enjoy doing work for independent commissions with tighter budgets but greater creative freedom or really exciting subjects.
I also regularly license high quality work from other photographers primarily for membership sites including GothicSluts.com, BarelyEvil.com, and RubberDollies.com. Work must be artistic, contain a minimum of topless nudity, and be on theme. Artists Blue Blood has published include Gunter Blum, Justice Howard, Chad Michael Ward, Carlos Batts, Jim Hancock, and many more. Qualified photographers can ping me here or send submissions to email@example.com
