About Me

I have worked as a photographer for over 30 years. I have a B.A in Photographic Arts and an M.A in Photographic Studies. I currently work as a lecturer in Photography and Digital Imaging, at Solihull College. I have started to specialize in hair photography and wish to join Model Mayhem to be able to build up a portfolio in this area. This would form a submission for the Associateship of the British Institute for Professional Photographers.

I have won a number of awards in Photography and have exhibited throughout my career;

• Prix de la Photographie, Paris (Px3) – 1st prize, Professional Automotive (2010)

• Fuji ‘Children in Cities’, prize-winner (1993)
• Commonwealth Photography Award, commendation (1987)
• Christian Aid ‘Face to the World’ photographic competition, originality and sensitivity (1983)
• Botswana National photographic competition, first prize (1979)
• Botswana National photographic competition, second prize (1978)

• Blue & Gold, The Custard Factory, Birmingham (1st November – 14th November 1996)
• Traces, Mezzanine Gallery, Birmingham Central Library (16th March – 30th April 1995)
• Images: Photographic Expressions of the Commonwealth, Commonwealth Institute, London (March 1987): Touring exhibition
• Lions and Princesses, The Triangle Photographic Gallery, Aston University, Birmingham (10th – 26th April 1986)
• Face to the World, Photographers Gallery, London (May 1983)
