About Me

I got my start more than 20 years ago in photography. I was heavily into photography in high school like you couldn't imagine. I think I shot around around 100 rolls of film back then per year, maybe more (thank you student newspaper and art department).
In college I pursued journalism and spent a lot more of my time doing graphic design for publications, I still did photography but not as much. In my professional career I did design and even became an Art Director for a weekly entertainment mag.

Now, I've come full circle and since the start of 2013 have tried to pick up where I left off with photography. I have a full time job that pays the bills in Graphic Design and interactive applications development, and so that gives me a lot of freedom to do whatever I want with my photography time since I (for now) don't use it as an income source.

My passion is people. I love telling stories in my photos, and that's the journalist in me. But I also love to do purely creative work and come up with concepts and shoot them.

My focus is on outdoors and people. Specifically I currently am trying to fallow in Stefan Soell's footsteps. (MM# 401592) - I love combining a beautiful person with a beautiful location and finding that balance of the two for a truly powerful image.

While I do look specifically to do nudes/semi-nude/implied, as you can see I do plenty of non-nude work as well.

In the end, the storyteller in me just enjoys taking pictures of people being human and exploring that. And, doing that outdoors as much as possible. I don't like studio work, I prefer to work on location, trying to either make, or record, a story.

I have a list a mile long of places I want to shoot across Oregon, I encourage models of all skill levels to contact me and we can work something out.

And even non-models can contact me, as I said, I love telling stories and have always enjoyed photographing people doing all kinds of things as a way of sharing their stories.

And that is what I hope to use MM for, to find models, and regular people, to explore Oregon with and make great photography with.
