The following paragraphs really just outline how we should work together. It would seem that people of common sense would not need any of this information. You treat others right and you honor your commitments, that's how I was raised. I am here to make beautiful images, and I require the same level of dedication on the other side of the lens. Other than that let's have some damn fun, life is too short no to!

I am a multiple award winning photographer, with over two decades of experience behind the camera. I have no interest in taking snapshots, if I can't create art with you, then I am not interested in shooting you. The finished product must evoke emotion on behalf of the viewer.

I am most interested in stepping outside the norm, and I prefer to shoot outdoors. Natural light is incredible, when it is properly used, and grittier urban locations offer the necessary texture to utilize that light to its fullest.

As a model, you are the key component in the creative process. No matter how good a camera is used, no matter the quality of the lighting, no matter the impressiveness of the set...your ability to express emotion to the camera is where it all comes together. When a model shoots with me, I want it to be a collaboration, where both parties bring their creative energies together.

As distasteful as I find this next paragraph, it is sadly necessary in today's me centric society. As a model I expect you to be professional, and to treat this opportunity to work together with the respect it deserves. Just as you might prioritize responsibilities in your life, as a photographer so do I. To prepare for a shoot, I will committ my time, resouces and money to your results. I will ask others to make their time, space, and resources available for our use. I will incurr costs to be completely prepared for our time together. I expect you to communicate effectively, be prepared for the requirements of the shoot, and to show up as planned, on time. Models that do not show the ability to follow through on their committments will NOT be rebooked. Also photographers do communicate with each other, and I will readily share my recommendations with others, good or bad.

So who's paying who? Well this is an interesting topic, and one that quite frankly I could expand on for an extended period, but won't. Suffice it to say, everyone needs to make a living, and everyone has expenses to be in the game here. I believe that all great results come from compromise, so let's use that as our starting position.

I am not in this to make money, I do it for the sake of the art. I have other income streams that I tend to, and they tend to me. So I am not the kind of photographer that will be hounding you to develop that all important portfolio, "that you must have". I don't know what you must have...

On the other hand, I have a huge investment in camera, lenses, underwater housings, portable lighting, studio lighting, filtration, computer equipment, editing software, and printing equipment...just to list a few of the things required to be proficient at an acceptable quality level. So I am not just showing up to snap a few pictures of you without having made my personal investment in this effort already.

So the vast majority of the shooting I do is TF* (either CD or Print). Obviously the quality of the outcome of the shoot will dictate the quantity; But the model can expect to receive from me, no more than 10 days after the shoot, a reasonable number of professionally edited images from that shoot. A release will be agreed upon and signed by both parties, that allows for promotional use of the images from the shoot. Commercial usage, by either party, of any image from a shoot, will require an individual agreement governing that image's intended usage.
