About Me

Omar Keita was born on May 15, 1987 in Congo, Africa and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey. His mother and father, who were raised in poverty and received little to no education, fled Africa from the Ebola virus when he was only 2 months old to give their son a better life, Going by the Stage name Ramo, this up-and-coming rappers' desire in music started at the young age of 10 years old; Inspired by famous Rap artist such as Biggie Smalls & Lil Cease. With a little advice from the Rap Icon NOTORIOUS B.I.G himself, Ramo realized he had a lot of practicing to do in order to take his rapping to a higher level. When he was only 14 years old, the rapper found himself in an altercation which landed him some time behind bars and at that juncture he had to put his rap career on hold for a few years. Re-surfacing on the scene in 2005 at the age of 18, Ramo really began to focus on his dream. Mostly known for his freestyle "Introduction" Ramo has obtained the chance to be featured with others such as DJ Envy, DJ Big Mike, DJ Woogie, DJ Noodles, DJ Spanky, DJ Mano Com, DJ Scope, DJ Khaled, DJ Green Lantern, DJ Bedtyme 357 & DJ Young Cee and landed spots on several mixtapes. He went on to be featured on hip hop websites such as HipHopDX, ThisIs50 & DatPiff, as well as winning the opportunity in 2008 to be on 'Coast2Coast Mixtapes Presents: No Sleep Til NYC, which was played for Ebro (N.Y. Director of Hot 97.1) Which he gave Ramo's music "Two thumbs up" and he told him he would look out for him when he makes it into the industry. His past experiences have help mold Ramo into the artist he is today as he continues to master his craft, which is noticeable by the more in-depth subject matters he chooses to speak upon that separates him from most of his peers.

Words from the man himself Ramo:

Hey guys I go my the name Ramo. Well I just want to say I am a cool lay back dude who likes to have fun and enjoy life. I love working with anybody as long they are serious about their work. Right now I have a few projects coming up which will be major. But, in the meantime I am a people's person. If you nice to me I will be nice to you. And finally just because I work with you doesn't mean I'm here to hook up with you. A few so called "Models" who I try to work with feel that just because they get a few nice comments they assume that the whole world wants them. Well I'm sorry I'm not that person and I am professional and a business man. So come at me correct but, other then that let's work!
