About MeHello and thank you for viewing my profile. I appreciate you taking the time to get to know me a little, and I hope you will be the next person I welcome into my team with open arms!
As an internationally published and exhibited photographer, my approach to fashion and fine art is to tell stories with a fantastical twist. And so my shoots are often like mini movie productions, with extravagant costumes and intricate set designs. My conceptual projects are artistically ambitious, intensely challenging and professionally demanding, but are also highly engaging, fun, rewarding and richly creative for everyone who gets involved. I seek to work with experienced teams who have an extraordinary creative vision, but also whom have a proven ability to bring that vision to life with high impact imagery. I do not do TF or TFP shoots with anyone who is not at the same standard as the very best images in my own portfolio. Therefore if our portfolios do not align, then I am sorry but we will not be working together at this moment in time.
I now prefer to work with models who have a uniquely peculiar yet distinctly captivating look, and especially with those whom can pose and emote authentically without too much instruction. It is essential that you can bring my characters to life in a believable way, so that my audience and clients can be fully immersed in the multi-layered imaginary worlds I create for them. But the most important thing is personality! When we are spending potentially 1-2 days (or more) on set together, we need to get on like a house on fire and be on the same page. I do not tolerate drama queens, attention seekers, slackers, Negative Nancies, Debbie Downers or people with a catty/bitchy attitude on my sets! Period!
Therefore I will only work with those whom I have already tested with, to ensure that you are reliable and trustworthy and that our personalities do not clash. I want to be sure that you will put in as much enthusiasm, passion and professional dedication as myself and the rest of my team. So if you are reaching out to me with the hopes of working together, then this is your chance to impress me. A standard generic email that you would send to a hundred other photographers just won't float with me, I already get enough of those and I can spot them from a mile a way. It is just a waste of your time and mine. Make it personal and put some thought into it, tell me WHY I should work with you. Stand out from the crowd and grab my attention, and if our portfolios align, only then will we arrange a test shoot to see how well we can work together.
The best way to get in touch is via my website contact page: www.adrianfarr.co.uk/contact.
I am also available for bookings for look books and portfolio building sessions for new models etc. Please email me for rates and more information, advising me of your budget considerations so I can let you know what I can do for you.
Thank you once again for considering me as your photographer, and I look forward to potentially working with you on something rather extraordinary.
****MODEL RELEASE - Due to the independent nature of my conceptual art, and where my images may potentially be published or licensed (magazines, galleries, book covers, fine art prints, competitions etc), I typically only work with models who can work for me on the terms of a full standard model release, which means a one-off fee or an agreed exchange (such as portfolio images) for the specific work done, releasing all rights to the images (i.e. not a commission/royalty basis - unless that is something we decide to agree on). I mostly work with industry standard freelance models direct, but it is fine to be agency-signed, as long as those commitments do not affect our agreement.****
