Biography Stefan Ammerlaan

After graduating from the Royal Art Academy for Photography & Arts in
The Netherlands (The Hague), Stefan Ammerlaan began his professional career as a photographer in 1983.
In order to gain experience, Stefan worked for leading Dutch photographers for several years. Subsequently, he founded his own company in 1988.
He was soon discovered as a very ambitious and successful photographer which enabled him to build up a good professional name in only a very short period of time.

Stefan’s photographic expertise is required for, amongst other, advertising campaigns which include brochures, billboards, calendars and print ads for fashion, jewellery, cars, watches, lingerie, travel industry, skincare & make-up. Other than that Stefan also works on corporate identity projects.
Furthermore he is in demand for portrait pictures of Dutch celebrities, singers, actors, politicians, Board members and senior company management. Stefan often hosts workshops and is a confident professional speaker. As an art director he is often involved with concept creation and production.  

Ammerlaan’s client list includes impressive national and international companies such as Spyker Cars, KLM, Philips, Cartier, McGregor Fashion, Nike, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Mercedes, Stage Entertainment, Endemol, Yves Rocher, Mexx, Koga Miyata, Life Fitness, The Royal Dutch Airforce, etc.

Stefan has received several nominations and has won several awards such as the Kodak Portrait prize, the International Lucy Awards in the categories Fine Art and Book, New Talent Award and the BFN Product photography Award. His work has been exposed in Paris, New York, Amsterdam and Berlin.

His work excels in very high quality, creative and surprising compositions and a unique feeling for pureness and beauty.

Stefan’s most coveted ambition is to produce a Hollywood film in the future.
