I am a Fine Artist, with a reputation primarily as a painter of the urban landscape.  But I am also avidly interested in painting the nude figure in watercolor.  I enjoy working up to a finished piece by doing many short studies of poses in charcoal, so if you think you might like to pose for an artist, but are afraid you can't sit still long enough, not to worry!

    I especially would like to appeal to any models with an athletic or dance background.  And If you can do yoga or flex poses, you would win my undying gratitude.

I recently formed "The Trackside Drawing Club", a casual group of friends and neighbors who gather at my Ravenswood studio on occasional weekend evenings to try their hand at figure study.  Models interested in participating in this enjoyable exercise are encouraged to contact me.

I was awarded the "Best of Show--All Categories" at Chicago's 57th Street Art Fair.  I have had many exhibits of my work in Chicago, and I was awarded "Best of Show--Painting" in Chicago's 57th Street Art Fair, considered one of the country's best.  And in 2017, I was awarded the "People's Choice Award."

I have been honored with an Emmy Award for my Set Design Work in Television.

Last summer I won the Best of Show award at the Bucktown ArtsFest for the second time.

I am also a production designer in the entertainment world, having designed the settings for many well-known local and national tv shows, films, and stage productions.  I was hired by MGM to be Minnie Driver's “Stunt Painter” for the film “Return to Me,” in which she played a watercolor painter.
I not only created all of her paintings, but worked with her to help prepare her for the on-camera painting scenes.
