About Me

With God, Family and Friends I beat stage 4 cancer in 4 months. Now it is time to get back to taking stellar images.

----------------------------------Personal Profile-------------------------------------

Hello Everybody,

My name is Rob, photographer and owner of RoBeary Images now out of Dallas, TX. A photographer since 1984 when everything was still shot on film. A not so recent graduate of the BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) program, in Photography, from East Tennessee State University. While there I specialized in Art Photographer with an emphasis in Wildlife, Landscape, Architecture and Figure Study. I no longer shoot figure study unless contracted to do so by a client. A former photographer for InDyne, Inc., at NASA, for 12 years where I photographed the initial construction of the International Space Station. I started working in the Commercial field in 2009 because I found it to be a challenging and exciting new direction for my photography. I bring my understanding of Landscape and Architecture photography to the Commercial field to create interesting backgrounds and compositions for my shoots instead of the plain, non thought out backgrounds.

There are a few concepts that I enjoy shooting but I do not like to do the same images over and over again just because it worked for one model. There is something to be said for diversity and creativity in a portfolio. If you want the same boring images that every other model has then hire their photographer that only knows that one style. If you want something different and creative then check me out and see what you think.

I love working with people that are positive, energetic and professional in order to make stellar images.

Escorts are always allowed at my photo shoots. But be prepared to perhaps help with some of the work. ;-))

----------------------------------No Call No Show-------------------------------------

People that do a no call no show on a shoot, in my opinion, are unprofessional. There are times when that can be forgiven but not often.
It does cost a photographer, just like the model, that has more equipment than just a cheap camera and a camera flash to pack and go to a location or studio shoot.

Let me re-emphasize
If a model and I set up a shoot and the model does not show up or cancels within an hour of the shoot with no viable reason, in my opinion, is unprofessional. Same as it would be if I, the photographer, did the same thing to the model. Things happen; give a shout, let the other parties involved know what is going on and not just leave them waiting around wasting time and money.

Also goes for messages. If you cannot return a message, even if the answer is "no", then how do you expect to be treated as a professional. That is why each message or tag I get I send out a response.
