About Me

[Featured in Arsenic Magazine: ] and more.

I have to say this upfront: I am very passionate about artmaking and meeting amazing people, and I never want finances to stand in the way of that. At the same time, my shoots are my primary income (I am not a hobbyist), and I pour hours of time into every part of the process (especially the edits), and I expect this to be respected. If your modeling is not presently your primary income, then I expect you will ask me for my rates, and that you will also be honest if you need a payment plan; I'm very easy to work with in this regard, and I get it all in writing so we have fairness and peace of mind. And if your modeling is your primary income, then ask me what my trade shoots entail, because financially we are both in the same boat.

With that said, hello! I'm Brian :) And I'm happy to shoot for anyone desirous to bare heart, mind, body and soul to inspire others... and to inspire oneself! I'm a big believer in self-acceptance and self-challenge walking hand-in-hand, and I believe art has a unique power to instill these values. When we truly love ourselves, we are able to love others better, because we believe we are something worth giving. And we achieve this by comparing ourselves only to our own potential, not to anyone else. Be the best you!

What my models say:

~ "I've been a model for over three years. Upon first meeting Brian (through Instagram of all places) I knew I wanted to work with him. I realized our collaboration would be a lot more than another guy with a camera asking me to 'lose the pants'; I could tell by the way that he valued his art that he equally valued the models involved. I am sick, I am losing a man that means the world to me to cancer, and I am constantly battling demons from my past that nip at my heels. Brian allowed me to find the bravery in myself to express all these issues and bare my body at its most vulnerable state. It's so easy to get in a bind and sell out to the highest bidder, but what's beautiful is the starving artist that refuses to give in. The ones that fight the good fight for us women as human beings with heartbeats and feelings. I'm forever grateful to him and will never forget our experience. That is truly what living is all about, not a paycheck written for the girl with the perfect body or the one willing to show the most skin. This is true humanity in its finest. So with all that being said, keep shining, Brian. Keep fighting the good fight. This is for healing for all of us." (Shena)

~ "Brian, you are the best! When I met you I was impressed by how respectful and professional you were. You stress that your art pushes people to grow and risk discomfort for the self-fulfillment it brings, but at the same time you are very respectful of boundaries (sooo important). There is a lot of criticism and controversy around nude art, but you take it in stride and go out of your way to make sure models are expressing themselves as well as their morals. During our shoots, there is no pressure to be exposed, but support to find my comfort zone and choose to move past it. I really like that you encourage people to challenge themselves and find the brink of what empowers them. I commend you!" (Lada)

~ "This was definitely a life-changing experience for me, considering that it is extremely hard for me to embrace my figure. My New Year’s resolution was to change my perspective on fear and to just let it be. This is just the first step to many fearless adventures. Thank you for this opportunity." (Gemma)

~ "I had three heart surgeries, which left me with two very noticeable scars. I haven't always been comfortable with them. It took me years to appreciate my body. Now that I'm older, my scars are part of who I am. My photoshoot helped me to express that. Being able to show my body and all of its flaws in such a beautiful way will always remind me that they're nothing to be ashamed of. Thank you, Brian, for your help in this journey." (Alexis)

~ "Brian, your work is amazing and you have a natural talent. I was extremely hesitant on meeting you in person for a shoot, but I'm extremely glad I did so. The day I shot with you I felt like a movie star, a day all about me and being comfortable in my own skin. Every woman and/or man deserves to feel beautiful and special. You're not only an amazing photographer but a role model, good friend, and one heck of a motivator. Please don't ever stop doing what you do best." (Kayla)

~ "Sometimes all it takes is one brief experience, one moment of time, to create a life-changing breakthrough. And I believe your shoots do that for people. I know it did for me!!" (Kalea)

~ "Brian, do you see these? Do you see this? Look how good I look!" (Amber)

You can hire me to add unique images to your modeling portfolio, or to advertise your music or your clothing line or other products/services, or simply to express yourself on a more-personal level. My aim is to make it all a rewarding experience, and I love helping people connect with where they want to be! Want to know what I look for in a model? It doesn't matter if you're very experienced or have never done a shoot before at all; what matters is an adventurous spirit, self-respect and respect for me.

[A word about nudity: It's my favorite. I see bare skin as a metaphor for honesty, vulnerability, confidence, courage and unadulterated truth. These are values I wish to instill in society, and I believe art provides a powerful way to achieve this in a manner both redemptive and inspiring. Nevertheless, I want a model to do whatever communicates self-respect *for them.* So if you believe in these things, my goal is to give you a safe and artistic place to explore these concepts on-camera. But if self-respect (for you) means covering your body, then I would not want you to go against your beliefs.]
