WOW!!!  Has it been a LONG time since I've been on Model Mayhem...  The last time I updated this page was way back around 2021 and prior to that 2013.  Outside of then and one or two other updates, I've been away from MM since 2007.

Warning to all:  FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, LEARN ABOUT LYME DISEASE AND COINFECTIONS AND HOW TO SHOOT AND MODEL SAFELY WHEN OUTDOORS!!!!  Ticks are NOT to be taken likely.  They can cause serious harm to one's health.  They did so to mine beginning May 2007.

For those who remember me, I began modeling and being active in Model Mayhem early to mid 2006.  I spent a lot of time during the Summer of 2007 shooting but not feeling that great.  Then, mid-Sept. 2007, I pretty much "fell off the face of the earth".  I woke one night after shooting a wedding in the worst pain imaginable.  I didn't know it at the time, but I had Lyme disease as well as coinfections all from a tick that bit me when I was photographing another model back in May of that same year.  I also didn't know just how sick I was nor how much worse I would become.  I certainly didn't know how long it would go on for. 

11+ years later after suffering beyond words, I was diagnosed with Lyme Neuro Borreliosis and several coinfections.  Prior to being diagnosed, I was on a tremendous amount of medications to control the pain and other symptoms, but once I was diagnosed, everything changed as I began intense and lengthy treatment for the diseases, not merely their symptoms.

My life has changed a LOT since the Lyme Neuro Borreliosis diagnosis and treatment (not to mention my age - sigh).  I haven't modeled since 2007, although I still do self-portraits and have collaborated a little bit shooting with other photographers who are close friends of mine. 

Even though so much time has passed, I can't begin to say how much I have missed being here.  To all of the photographers I've modeled for and to all of the models who I have photographed (in some cases both), you've been missed.  Please feel free to reach out to me as I'd love to touch base.  To all those who I have let down, please know it was never personal.  I was just much more ill than I was aware of, and I wasn't able to admit this to myself let alone other people.

All of this being said, I hope to begin working with others again.  Prior to getting Lyme (etc.), I was pretty much moving from model to photographer, and this is where I am at now at this stage of the game.  Although primarily on the shooting side of the lens, I plan to keep my modeling page up.

My MM Photog Account ( http://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=188959 ) was closed due to inactivity in April 2024.  I am working with MM to get it reinstated.

Again, I will continue to keep my MM modeling page up.  I am always interested in collaborating with other photographers and models that tell a story!  DO feel free to contact me if you are interested in doing the same!
