Details:
We're looking for a core group of women and men for a new serial at our live action comic book website. This story involves a group of four women space travelers who encounter all kinds of zany characters and have many adventures. It's a little schlocky but a ton of fun, very much along the lines of the original Lost in Space TV show. We need people who have excellent expressive capabilities (it is a comic book, after all) and can really let loose and act. As this is a serial story, if you are chosen to be a core character this will be a monthly gig! When you respond please let us know who you're interested in being.
The five main characters we're casting for are:
Rhiannon:The young and innocent-looking bodyguard to the princess. She's a bit naive and has been sheltered, but she's a martial arts expert. If you know a martial art of any kind, this is the role for you.
Apollynia - The healer of the group. She's similar to the empath on Star Trek Next Generation, but she's also a bit of a letch. Perfect your leer! Appa and the next character on the list, Piper are dating, please be comfortable with portraying a lesbian.
Piper - A redheaded tempest of a woman, piper is the mechanic and pilot of the group. She and her girlfriend are almost always fighting. Appa's a letch and Piper's a jealous redhead with a temper, of course they're going to fight. It's obvious to everyone that they only fight because they love each other. Please be comfortable with portraying a lesbian.
Marcus - The big huge evil bad guy who pursues the women across the gallaxy (there has to be one of those in every story, right?). Marcus isn't in the story often, but when he is, you notice. He's the Supreme King of a war based society. He's smart, ruthless and cunning. He wants this space ship and by god he'll get it. If you look like you could rule the Spartans, you're the guy for us.
Daius - Marcus' right hand man. Dai isn't so sure that what Marcus is doing is best for their planet. He's in love with Rhiannon, so he isn't as cold and calculating as Marcus, but he IS second in command. He's more reasonable than his friend, the buddy who talks sense into the dictator.
