This is a student production being put on by the University of Toronto, Scarborough Campus. We have been rehearsing for quite awhile, when we lost our lead male actor. We are looking for a replacement actor who is willing to put in the time to catch up.
The show will be put up in mid-April, with rehearsals about twice a week, about 2 and a half hours each, in Scarborough.
The show is a domestic tragedy, Dogs Barking by Richard Zajdlic. Actors will be asked to do a cold read.
Auditions are Monday Feb. 9th, from 5-10pm on Scarborough Campus, or by appointment. Actor MUST be cast by Wednesday Feb 11th.
Character Desc: Age range: 18-30, any race.
Neil is a deadbeat character, a bit rough around the edges, who is trying to salvage a life that has fallen apart, and a relationship that ended a year ago. He is gruff and a failure, but inside, is falling apart himself. Actor must do opening scene in boxer shorts.
