Seeking a volunteer assistant to help with wardrobe styling and set creation for a bug photo shoot.
This is a promotional shoot for Apocalypse Vintage (apocalypsevintage.com). Our website is going to be redesigned soon and this shoot is an integral part of the redesign. You can check out a previous similar shoot here: http://apocalypsevintage.com/wintercollection2008
The photographer will be Rachel Schwarz, MM#778617.
The business is currently based in Portland but we'll be moving our office down here in October and will be doing weekly studio shoots after that as well as having occasional promotional shoots. This could lead to an internship and eventually a paid position. You will also be featured on our website and in promotional materials.
The setting of the shoot is a post-apocalyptic outdoor tavern. The fashion will be black and neon pucci-esque printed spandex accessorized in a sort of 'Tank Girl' meets 'Beyond the Thunderdome' way. Rugged body-conscious gay glamour. There will be 5 or 6 models, and this will hopefully evolve into a film project as well.
I'm especially interested in working with queer folks as that is an important part of the aesthetic of Apocalypse Vintage.
