Custom Clothier and Fashion Editor in search of Fit and Style Models.
[b]Size[/b]
Fashion â 5â9â - 5â11â 110-110/20 lbs.
Fashion Apparel â 5â7â â 5â9â 110-115/20 lbs.
Center back measurements need to be verified. Additional measurements may be required.
[b]Purpose[/b]
Fit Models are needed to test not only the fit of the garments, but also the motion and movement of materials / textiles.
Style Models are needed to coordinate âlooksâ on body, for fashion editorial or campaigns or simple design workshop purposes.
[b]Compensation[/b]
Compensation will be negotiated depending on assignment. A trade of studio time in terms of stock custom clothier goods may be anticipated.
Cash is possible depending on studio schedule and time constraints.
No travel expenses paid.
[b]Time[/b]
This opportunity is sporadic at best. Short notice given. Sessions maybe last between 2-4 hours for Fashion and Fashion Apparel Fit Models and 3 and 6 hours for Style Models in an editorial or commercial research process. Time may fall short or go long, you must be flexible.
[b]Location[/b]
Sessions will be in the metro Detroit area, in or near Detroit and / or Warren.
[b] Photography[/b]
Your photograph and possibly video will be taken as a part of the process. Photography and video is not for commercial publishing purposes, rather analytical and technical purposes and record keeping.
Style Models may be asked to do simple poses.
[b]Comfort Issues[/b]
Must be comfortable changing in front of one or more people with either turning your back or a changing screen at best. Nobody cares if you do not care; we have a job to do and we need to do it fast and accurate.
In terms of Fashion (daywear / eveningwear) or Fashion Lingerie it is possible you will be photographed in sheer garments and I need to know about your comfort issues well in advance so we donât have to send you home on location to finish our work.
[b]Professional Attitude[/b]
Must be on time, measurements accurate, reliable transportation and an actual legal name for financial record keeping; No â Bubblegum Princess, Hotrod Honey, etc. My name is David or Dave if you prefer.
[b]Measurements[/b]
Measurements must be accurate and up-to-date for each session / the day of. Inaccurate measurements will have you sent home with no compensation.
[b]Opportunity[/b]
Itâs clear that if you have these measurements and I am both photographing you for research and watching you walk for research that as both a custom clothier or fashion editor you may be called back time-to-time to walk for shows, shoot editorial, participate with friends in their opportunities, etc.

Everyone please keep in mind, as a fit model you are literally a walking fitting form.
Once designs are constructed on the form you become the next step in the process.
As a fit model it also involves the designer staring at you and your body and the clothes on body for extended periods of time. (I can't stress this enough)
The process is about studying line placement with movement through wearing and possibly asking you questions about fit, comfort and wearability in terms of feel.
Things to consider. The closer you are to Detroit, the better.
