A friend of mine is doing a presentation/show Sunday May 17, 2009 at the Hilton Hotel in Bellevue WA. He is promoting a new hip product line out of Australia called M.U.K. Their slogan is "What the MUK?"
He's going to be doing some demo models on stage and asked me to help him out and do a stage presentation using my brand of models. Since he is a good friend I agreed to lend a hand.
The show itself is from 1-4:30 PM and there will be a two hour cocktail meet and greet afterward of the artists and their models.
It will be a closed show, meaning a smaller private show and they are inviting the top salons in the area. Since they are using our name as a draw and people already know of us, they are expecting a crowd of around 200+
There will be photographers there along with a videographer who they are flying in from LA who is the head video guy for Trevor Sorbie - London.
We also will have a photo area pre-set to do some shoots of the models.
Since I'll be the featured guest artist, they are letting me set up my segment however I want.
For my part, I'm looking for five female runway models 5'8"+ Taller is better however, if I like your look, I'll consider shorter. You have to be available for the whole day. We will be starting early for prepping and rehearsing and also there will be a rehearsal day sometime before that.
This is TFP event, however I will be giving each of my models 250 dollars worth of services from me at the salon and you'll be getting some hair products from the company. You'll also get pictures and video from the show. If any of the pictures are used in any print, I will want to get us copies of it for our portfolios.
I do not need to cut or color your hair for the show as you'll be wearing hairpieces.
Even though I will be selecting only five, there are others in the show that might need models so I'll refer them to you and then you're on your own.
I will have my own select personal group of muas, photographers, and assistants in my posse, so if you are a photg, mua, fashion designer or hair person and would like to be considered, let me know.

Here's an update on the hair show...
The original goal was for a attendance of 200. Because of the buzz and excitement about the artists that will be presenting at the show, the salon community is signing up for the show so fast that they now expect 400-450.
To clarify, this is NOT my show, I'm only the quest artist doing a special presentation for the finale'. I already have my models selected for my portion of the show. I will, however, be helping out where needed. If you're an exceptional model and want to be considered with me for future projects, then let me know.
The entire show is 3 and half hours so there will be other segments for hair styling, cutting and coloring by other stylists.
There will also be a fashion show segment.
Models will be need for the other segments.
If you are interested in either the hair portion or the fashion show portion, there will a model call at the salon in Federal Way, Tuesday 21, 7:00 - 9:00PM. You can come anytime between those times.

If you want to be a hair model, you'll be getting your hair done ( no charge) and presented on stage. If you don't want to get anything done with your hair, you'll have to let the stylist know. Maybe you can be in the fashion part, however, your hair will still have to look nice as this is a professional show-another words- no color grow out.
The stylist are very professionals and will work with you as far as what you're willing to do or not do, so don't worry, they're not going to go crazy with your hair (unless you really want them to). Some looks will be very clean, sleek and classic.
You will be making any arrangements directly with them.
