This is about as random as a casting call gets…but here we go!

I am looking for a local (Twin Cities, MN) photographer and MUA (or several) interested in adding special effects and horror work to their portfolio. Myself and several others will be attending the fifth annual Zombie Pub Crawl on October 10, and are working on costumes from the popular video-game series Left 4 Dead as part of the occasion.

If you’ve never been to the event, it’s a blast. Over 500 people dressed as zombies roam the streets and score good deals on drinks. Basically, it makes the perfect opportunity for a zombie-themed photoshoot. You will never find as many zombies in one area any other time.

Anyway…on to the details. The Zombie Pub Crawl usually begins around 3:00-4:00 in a park, which is where we would get the best crowd. I would love to have a photographer meet us there and shoot with us for an hour or two. Some urban locations throughout the night would also be ideal. If the photographer wanted to follow us around the remainder of the night, drinks would be on us.

For a makeup artist, our group is split into survivors and zombies. The survivors would only need minimal bruises and scrapes. The zombies are where you would get to have the most fun. The Zombies from Left 4 Dead are not standard. They have giant boils and prosthetics and whatnot. I included a link below to reference. There are several zombies that would need to be done, and as it takes time, we are willing to work with more than one MUA if you want to focus your efforts one a singular look. If planned in advance we can also provide the prosthetics and supplies needed. Same goes for MUA as the photographer, if you want to hang with us the remainder of the night, drinks are on us. If you spy a particular zombie you want to try and recreate, let me know.

The goal is to wind up with some fantastic TFP/CD images for everyone involved. We are working hard on the costumes on our end.
