About Me

Courtney Paige grew up playing with her Granny's tickle trunk of costumes and props. She would turn the living room into a theatre and perform elaborate plays for her family. Courtney’s family saw her love for performing and acting from a very early age. At the age of six she started ballet, age nine, she began using her parent’s video camera to make short films, and at age eleven she started community theatre.

In 2005 she was awarded the "Talent Award" during the Miss Kelowna Lady of the Lake pageant. In 2007, she was crowned "Miss BC Interior", and went on to do many charities for the BC Children's Hospital. In 2009 she won the Miss Caribbean Tan competition.

In 2010, Courtney made the move to Vancouver, BC to begin training as a professional film and television actress. She did the full time intensive acting program at the Vancouver Acting School. Six months into the program, Courtney signed with her first agent. She signed with Danielle at Kirk Talent agency. She has trained with some of Vancouver’s top coaches, and has even gone on to do workshops in New York. Courtney booked her first role on the Universal Network hit series "Psych" in June 2011.

Courtney's biggest mentor is another actress, Erica Carroll. "Erica inspires me. She is an amazing person, and makes me feel empowered, grounded, and focused". Courtney is currently taking scene study with Ben Ratner, actors cross training with Loretta Walsh, and the core audition class with Daniel Bacon.

Courtney believes that in order to be a well-rounded actress you need to be in class, on set, or in the theatre. “Actors are like athletes in that they must train hard every single day. There is no room for getting by on looks in this industry. It’s bullshit, and you wont go far. You need talent. Talent comes from hard work, practice, and determination”, said Paige.

Courtney's goal is to build up her resume in Vancouver BC before applying for her 0.1 visa, and making the move to LA. She would also like to spend some time on Broadway in New York. Courtney has made a commitment to her acting career for the rest of her life, and is very determined to work at the highest level.

Courtney recently hired Alfonso Quijada to produce her new web series titled "Stiletto Diaries". Her cousin Tracy D Smith will be directing it.
